Agape House received this card in the mail today:
"I've become friends with Tina Ferguson via Face Book. We have some mutual friends on there. It is through her that I have learned about Agape House. We were given random increments of money this past week at church and were told to bless those that God laid upon our mind. Immediately Agape House came to mind. I received $10 from the church and am matching it. I know it isn't much but I pray God is glorified and the news will spread about your ministry. Your sister in Christ, Jessica Robertson"
Jessica is from Ohio and she and I have become "friends" on FB through a common interest in the ministry of Grace Walk Ministries and Pastor Steve and Melanie McVey in Riverview, FL. I have heard about various churches doing this exercise of giving random amounts of money and asking congregants to give as the Lord leads. What a blessing !
We are so blessed that God moved upon the heart of Jessica to donate to Agape House and we wanted to share this story to encourage you that NO amount is too small and each child of God that He speaks to is a vital part of this ministry. We appreciate each and every one of you...from our faithful supporters that give whatever amount they can each month....even as we think back to the two crisp dollar bills we received during our capital campaign when God blessed us with the nearly half a million dollars required to purchase our current facility, in ninety days.
We were blessed by Cyndie DeVries and friends who have held a clothing exchange and for the second year in a row they have donated the proceeds to the ministry of Agape.
At our recent fashion show, a young girl walked up to our Executive Director and said she wanted to help the girls and handed her eight dollars that she had saved. What a gift !
