"The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me, . . . He sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners . . . " ~ Isaiah 61:1

It's the most wonderful time of the year.....

I start singing that christmas song every year, not because of the festive holiday season, but because Basketball is underway across the nation !! I'm a HUGE fan of college basketball and now my daughter is playing in college. I want to share her picture with you (not just out of personal pride), but because it is part of her destiny being fulfilled; much in part to the ministry of Agape House. Seven years ago the enemy sought to destroy her and our family through the brokenness of one of our family members. She would be the first to tell you she would not have survived without the grace of God and the resources of Agape House; but because of those things she is now fulfilling her destiny studying Sports Management and playing NCAA women's basketball at the Division III level, which has been her desire since she was eight years old.

Romans 8:28 28 And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.

I want to share with you something tangible; evidence of the good work that God has done, through the ministries of Agape House !!

When you pray for the ministries of Agape House, be encouraged to know that your prayers are an integral part of the work that God is doing here. God's word says the prayers of the righteous availeth much !

We currently have 9 students with 4 girls living in the Teen Home. It is amazing to see the transforming work of God in these young girls' lives. The girls residing in the Home came with their counselor, Elizabeth King to pick me up from the airport last weekend. I attended a worship conference at Christ For The Nations in Dallas, Texas. To spend time with them and talk about the Lord is amazing. They have an honesty and an eagerness for the things of God that is refreshing. I cannot wait to see how mightily God is going to move, as He operates through the girls; His willing vessels.

You are invited to attend worship at Agape on Friday evenings at 7 p.m. We "do not despise the day of small things"...we will be starting out modestly. But I see the Spirit of God moving through these girls; they have hearts for Him !

Our Holiday newsletter will be reaching your mailbox within the next week ! We are blessed to report that God continues to provide for our daily operating needs. Last month we received income of $26,000 with monthly expenses of $17,000. The additional $10,000 was a donation designated to cover the installation of the heating system in the gym; which was conditional on us getting the early occupancy to open the Teen Home.

We are in need of an additional $10,000 over the monthly expenses to finish the year in the black. If you would like to bless the ministry or sponsor a girl for Christmas, please phone the office or email us.

We are excited to already be receiving donations coming in through the "Change" a girl's life program. One of our parents, Claudine Wells has crafted beautiful collection boxes that can be placed at businesses, schools, churches, etc. They are available in the office.

It's move-in weekend !!

Our first residents are moving in on Sunday !! Such an exciting time, to see how God is moving, preparing....

We received another truly miraculous donation today. Beautiful leather furniture that will go in the living quarters of the Teen Home. It's exactly as we had envisioned and prayed for ! Two interior designers donated the chairs and ottoman, a customer had done a custom-order and then did not want them. God is so good !

SUNDAY NIGHT:

Live Jazz Home Concert Benefit for Agape House

Sunday, November 9 at the home of Rex & Diane Lewis, 650 S. Main Street in Fontana. The girls will be performing; there will be lots of great food and refreshments. At 6pm, there will be a benefit performance by the fabulous jazz artists:

Al Feeny on the piano
Harold Smith on clarinet
Eddie Bogdonas on drums
Dave Timmcke & Guy Fiorenza on string bass
Cliff Frederiksen on guitar

We hope to see you there !!

Please pray for the girls moving into the home, and their families.
